The Radnor Meeting Peace and Social Concerns committee, in this time of COVID-19, is especially concerned about the welfare of those on the fringe of society – low-income families, immigrants, homeless, those in prison or recently released to name a few groups. What can we do as members/attenders for those in need? We have identified key nonprofits and groups that our Meeting and members/attenders can support. Below is a partial listing of some worthy causes that we can endorse as suggested opportunities:
- HIAS (immigration) – https://www.hias.org
- St. Mary’s Ardmore Food Bank – https://www.stmarysardmore.org/ardmore-food-pantry
- Prevention Point (medical services) – https://ppponline.org
- Project Home – https://www.projecthome.org
- FCNL – which is pushing for government support for victims. See https://www.fcnl.org/updates/responding-to-the-coronavirus-2670
